This trial was held as as result of a drug investigation which had authorized a roving wiretap to follow an RCMP target. Five years after Mindy's abduction, and many miles away, two witnesses to the abduction of Mindy Tran, neither even aware of the other, were both obstructed from testifying due to this investigation.
